Jewish Solar Challenge Newsroom

The Jewish Solar Challenge is a fiscally sponsored organization dedicated to helping Jewish institutions across America transition to solar energy. Launched in 2021, JSC offers matching grants to synagogues, schools, camps, and other Jewish nonprofits that own their buildings or land, empowering them to install solar panels and embrace sustainability. With nearly $1 million awarded to date, JSC helps organizations drastically reduce energy costs and shorten payback periods while fostering broader environmental initiatives. By providing financial support and resources, JSC enables Jewish institutions to lead by example in combating climate change and promoting long-term environmental stewardship.
