The Jewish Solar Challenge drives the adoption of solar energy at Jewish community institutions by providing direct funding, technical support, and hands-on guidance that turn climate commitments into built projects.

Our Impact to Date
- $1.2 million Granted to Jewish institutions
- 23 recipients Across seven U.S. states
- More than 3 MW Of supported solar capacity
- 4.6 million kWh Of estimated clean power generated each year
Together, these projects are expected to prevent 1,700 metric tons of CO2 emissions each year and generate $35 million in projected savings over the life of the solar systems.

Grants
Helping Jewish Institutions Go Solar
JSC offers matching grants of up to $50,000 to eligible Jewish institutions pursuing solar projects.
The initial application period for the 2026 grant cycle is now closed. The next application cycle will open in August 2027.
