Building a Brighter Future

The Jewish Solar Challenge delivers solar energy to Jewish community institutions around the United States

Our Mission

The Jewish Solar Challenge drives the adoption of solar energy at Jewish community institutions by providing direct funding, technical support, and hands-on guidance that turn climate commitments into built projects.

We advance solar adoption across Jewish institutions by removing the financial, technical, and organizational barriers that prevent projects from moving forward.

What We Do

Providing direct financial support for solar installations that deliver an immediate and ongoing reduction in greenhouse gas emissions while lowering long-term operating costs.

Engaging community members to design and carry out institution-led sustainability commitments alongside solar adoption, in partnership with trusted organizations.

Offering education, training, and technical guidance to help institutions plan, finance, and build solar projects efficiently.

Unlike many climate initiatives focused primarily on planning or advocacy, the Jewish Solar Challenge puts philanthropic dollars to work right away by installing solar panels, reducing emissions, and creating measurable impact now and for years to come.
